Cadaqués is where the Costa Brava becomes a painting. White houses crowd the curve of the bay, the church of Sant Maria stands at the water's edge, and beyond the town the bare rocks of Cap de Creus fall into a vivid blue sea. It was home to Salvador Dalí, and it is easy to see why the light here feels surreal.
Photographing in Cadaqués means working with a landscape that is dramatic and still at the same time. The whitewashed lanes give clean, bright backdrops for portraits, while the coves and headlands around Cap de Creus offer open skies and cinematic horizon lines for family and maternity sessions.
